New Plymouth Tramping Club
Te Rōpū o Hīkoi o Ngāmotu
Welcome to New Plymouth Tramping Club's website.
We are a club of tramping, hiking, hill-walking and rambling enthusiasts.
You'll find lots of details about the club on this site, and some useful information that you will need to know if you choose to join us out in the great outdoors.
We'd love you to come tramping with us. Trips are typically planned every Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and most Public Holidays. See below for upcoming trips or check our Calendar for the full programme.
We plan trips throughout the year that cover a range of grades, environments and interests to allow people to enjoy tramping with a safe, supportive team.

Rediscover historically interesting sites
Many trips visit the sites of old mines, bush railways, schools, settlements and other historic sites.
Visit locations not usually accessible
Some interesting trips are taken over farms and private property, thanks to the generosity of the land owners.
